Even though it's summer, I'm hitting the books again!
In class today, we began by introducing ourselves through the slides we made previously. I really enjoyed getting to know everyone this way because it gave us a way to express our individuality while conforming to a general medium. I'm actually very excited about using Google docs as a tool for this class. I feel that as a web app, Google docs, and the entire Google brand create high quality technology that is extremely useful to a large portion of the population. Think of Google docs like Microsoft Office, only online (and FREE!) All you need is a gmail account and voila, you're connected. From there you can share photos, blogs, spreadsheets, etc. It's also very easy to learn. I think there can be a bit of anxiety when it comes to learning a new program, or how to use a new technology, but Google has provided a tool set that is very easy to use.
Class itself goes to 6pm today, so there's still so much to learn. But I look forward to blogging about it in the future. Think of this blog as a little journal I'll be using during the journey that is graduate studies. I'll be posting assignments, thoughts, and even little useful links for you to read and enjoy. So here's to UConn TCPCG class of 2012? Are you ready for us? We're definitely knocking on your door!
